The Easy Way Out...

We live in a world where we have been taught to look for the easy way out. Guess what. There isn’t one. Especially when it comes to porn addiction!

Change is difficult. Kicking your porn addiction is a process. The good news is you can take your time. Don’t give up. Learn to take one step at a time and keep moving.

Every baby step counts and you need to count each small step forward as you heal your pornography addiction.

One baby step, one fear faced. Just the step in front of you is required. One fear at a time one step at a time.

There is no race. There is no finish line. You will never quit learning. We learn until the day we die. Make each moment count. Make each moment a learning moment. A step in the right direction.
 

Porn addicts need to celebrate themselves every step of the way! This is the way to expand your comfort zone. This is the way to rid your self of the shame, guilt and torment of pornography. You can do it and you will.
 

When you commit to breaking your porn addiction the right people are put on your path to help you. They will appear in unexpected, unpredicted and even magical ways. This is what makes life exciting and the hard work worth it.

When you let go of the old you make room for the new.

There isn’t any need to be afraid. You have a Higher Power who will guide and protect you. You’ll never experience the best in life unless you quit porn.  You'll miss precious moments with family, friends and everyday ordinary miracles like a sunset or the quiet moment when dawn breaks.

Do you understand why you miss these moments? Because as a porn addict you're always preoccupied with pornography, lusting, fantasizing, shame, guilt...the list goes on and on.

In recovery you learn God will get you through anything but out of nothing. Ask your Higher Power for the help and trust you need to kick your pornography addiction.

The most popular command in the bible is “Fear Not.” It is mentioned 366 times, once for every day of the year, including leap year.

Fear not and allow nothing and no one to stand in your way, not videos, chat rooms, message parlors, DVD’s, prostitutes or the porn industry.

You will gain honesty, respect, dignity, healthy relationships and more. Now which do you want more of? Porn or all of that?

As a porn addict it's easy to cling to comfort even if it is painful. Choosing a life of misery is familiar and painful. Choosing to trust in a brighter future is fearful.

When you are afraid, you need courage and faith. You need to take action!

What is your plan today? How will today be different? When courage and faith are combined with action you have the ability to move mountains.

You can choose to live in pain and misery or guilt and shame. Porn addicts know this well.

You can take a risk and bring respect, honor and integrity into your life. The choice is up to you.

There is an AA saying that nothing changes until something changes.
You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. That’s insanity. Porn addicts no what insanity feels like.

It takes faith to change. It takes faith to do something different. It takes faith to risk everything you know for the unknown.

If you have ever been to the circus you’ve seen trapeze acts. There are a few moments when one lets go of one bar before grabbing the next. The person is literally in mid-air for a few seconds hanging on to nothing.

Those are the moments you fear the most, the moments you have nothing to hang on too. Yet if you don’t release the first bar you’ll never catch the second.

Letting go of your porn addiction is releasing the first bar. Think of your Higher Power, your support system or your family as the second bar. Go for it, drop the first and grab the second!

Your recovery will bring you both exhilaration and terror. You will feel alive.
Life's too short and wonderful to be a porn addict.

Without knowing the way it’s necessary to begin. Right where you are. There is no other way. There is no easy way to break your porn addiction.
